This bunk bed model has been tested by an independent laboratory and is in compliance with the ASTM F-1427 standard consumer safety specification for bunk beds and the government code of federal regulations 1213 and 1513. Finish is child-safe and lead free. All wood is fully sanded and protected with a clean smooth coating to prevent cracks and splinters. Solid Brazilian Pine – no particle board. Ladder rungs are flat (not vertical) for added comfort for your child’s feet and can be either attached permanently with screws or “hooked” on and off.
